HERITAGE DAYS A weekend of creativity and heritage not to be missed! To mark the European Heritage Days, the Mariana Museum and Urban Sketchers Bastia are inviting you to enjoy a unique artistic and cultural experience on 20 and 21 September 2025. A visual immersion in the act of drawing and personal interpretation of heritage, to be explored throughout the weekend. This is your chance to come to the museum and enjoy the last few days of: the exhibition "Sur le motif - Mariana et alentours en 100 dessins". This exhibition features around a hundred drawings made in situ, inspired by the collections and the surrounding landscapes. Saturday 20 September: From 10am to 12pm, the Urban Sketchers Bastia will be taking over the museum and archaeological site with their notebooks and pencils. Join them to draw alongside them, exchange techniques and take a look at this place steeped in history. From 3pm to 5pm, be sure to join Ophélie de Peretti, archaeologist and director of the Mariana Museum, and artist Anne Papalia in a conversation about archaeological drawing. Together, they will share their visions, combining scientific rigour and artistic sensitivity. Sunday 21 September: From 10am to 12pm and from 3pm to 5pm, the Urban Sketchers Bastia return to sketch heritage with freshness and spontaneity. Take part in one or other of these free drawing sessions at the museum. And take advantage of the opportunity to discover the museum's treasures on flash guided tours.
