The Des Courts en Hiver festival returns from 28 to 31 January 2026 with screenings of short films, readings, meetings and tributes. A cultural event combining cinema, poetry and literature, between Porto-Vecchio and Bonifacio.
The Cinémathèque de Corse, in partnership with the Cinémotion association, is offering the 14ᵉ edition of the Des Courts en Hiver festival, from 28 to 31 January 2026. This festival of short films has established itself as a highlight of cultural life in Corsica, combining cinema, poetry, literature and artistic encounters.
The 2026 edition opens on Wednesday 28 January with a tribute to René Char, a major figure in French poetry and the Resistance. The evening kicks off at 7.30pm with Cesari, followed by a convivial buffet and a tribute to Jean-François Agostini, in the presence of Antoine Graziani and Stefanu.
On Thursday 29 January, it's time for a performance with a reading-performance by Salt'in Bocca at 7pm, followed by the first evening of short films, honouring young filmmakers.
On Friday 30 January, the festival continues at the Espace Saint-Jacques in Bonifacio with a meeting on contemporary poetry featuring Anne Malaprade and François Heusbourg, hosted by Jean-Louis Giovannoni, before the second evening of short films.
Saturday 31 January is devoted entirely to René Char, with documentary films, meetings and debates:

The day concludes with a talk by Corinne Bayle-Goureau, an academic specialising in René Char, the festival's prize list and a screening of the film Si je meurs je viendrai vous le dire by Jérémy Alberti.
