The Bastia Beer Club is organising the Beer Festival in Place Saint-Nicolas. Bastia is gearing up for three days of beer-related discoveries and festivities, from Thursday 18 to Saturday 20 September. The Place Saint-Nicolas will be the setting for a new chapter in the Bastia Beer Festival, with a wider range of brews on offer. This autumn's edition will focus on craft beers. You'll be able to taste the products of local breweries, as well as meet brewers from all over France and Europe. On the programme: free tastings to explore the flavours, as well as guided workshops to whet the palate of amateurs and neophytes alike. Workshops, competitions and a festive atmosphere One of the highlights of the event will be a beer-making workshop to give a hands-on insight into the brewing process, while an amateur competition will encourage creativity: this year's categories are 'Fruit Beers' and 'IPA'. Saturday afternoons will be especially devoted to amateur brewers, with tastings of their creations. As night falls, the square will be alive with live music, with rock and electric bands playing to accompany the drinks and the conversation.
