AJACCIO BOAT SHOW
The town of Ajaccio and its port Charles Ornano are delighted to announce the 4th edition of the Ajaccio Boat Show, which will take place from Thursday 16 to Sunday 19 October 2025. A not-to-be-missed event for sailing and boating enthusiasts, this free event will bring together around fifteen professionals from the Ajaccio area and will feature around a hundred new and used boats. It will bring together boats from 5 to 20 metres in length, as well as catamarans, exhibited in an area of 3,000 m² and on nearly 300 linear metres of quayside.
Bringing the summer season to a close, the Ajaccio Boat Show offers the public a chance to discover the latest innovations in the local nautical sector, as well as the environmental initiatives put in place by the port and its partners.
The event also provides a high profile for professionals from the micro-region, showcasing an industry that accounts for almost a quarter of the jobs on the island in the Pays Ajaccien Conurbation Community as a whole. Note: with almost 400,000 overnight stays recorded each year in Corsica's ports, they are the island's leading accommodation providers.
A major NO KILL sea fishing competition
Alongside the exhibitions and sea trials, the big new feature of this year's event will be the organisation of a NO KILL offshore fishing competition, the Corsica Fishing Cup, sponsored by Mercury Marine, which will bring together around thirty participants. The competition, taking place on Sunday 19 October, is designed to be environmentally friendly, with each catch being measured and released immediately in order to preserve the marine fauna. It's a unique event for all sport fishing enthusiasts, with its blend of challenge, conviviality and passion for the sea.
The show is open to the public, with free access, from 17 to 19 October from 10am to 8pm.
